2013
The vision for Spirit Weavers comes through in the Summer of 2013, on the Wainiha River on the Island of Kauai. Mea holds the first gathering that November on her Family’s land in Southern California. The tickets for the gathering sell out within a day. There are 75 women total. The gathering was a life changing moment for all those who were there.
2017
Spirit Weavers searches for land of their own and purchases 100 acres in Southern Oregon which they name Cedar Bloom. The land holds a mile of the Illinois river that runs along the land. They grow the gathering to 800 Attendees per session (1600 total, which feels like the magic number moving forward) and the gathering once again sells out within minutes.
2018
Spirit Weavers builds the land out to accommodate the gathering and all of the women. Cabins, bath houses and a sauna are added to the land. They open the land to the public for the first time in 60 years. They join Hipcamp creating a retreat space and campground so that all can enjoy Cedar Bloom. The gathering once again sells out within minutes.
2024
The Spirit Weavers Community came together for the 11th time, in celebration and culmination. With a decade of gathering experience, it was shared that the 2024 event was the smoothest and most streamlined event yet. Hundreds shared their hearts and hands under the stars, joined by special live music performers and new and returning community, collaborators, and sponsorship partners.
